Unarmed Security Officer responsible for conducting patrols and completing security reports at client sites in the greater Seattle area. Officers must have the ability to safely operate a vehicle, stand on their feet, and walk for long periods of time while working outside in the elements (weather). This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, a good work ethic, flexibility, and punctuality. Unarmed Security officers must have a valid drivers license, a vehicle, and a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test. Candidates must be well groomed, articulate, dependable, and a team player.
The Officer does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers. The work is performed outdoors and indoors.
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
· Detect, deter, and report crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
· Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner.
· Will arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform with any necessary equipment (issued during orientation).
· Will carry out general and special orders for assigned post.
· Will communicate via radio, telephone and in-person, according to orders.
· Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and assigned equipment.
· Meet, greet, and interact professionally with clients and the general public.
· Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
· Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
· Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English.
· This is not a comprehensive list of duties. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirement Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Prior military, civilian, or security officer experience preferred but not required.
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty up to the standards of OSG.
Required Skills Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
· Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
· Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material.
· Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
