For additional information please visit our website at www.oaktreecapital.com Responsibilities As a Manager within our Enterprise Data team, you will play a critical role in establishing a robust and scalable framework to continuously assess and maintain benchmark and indexes used by portfolio managers to guide investment-making decisions. Within this role, you will serve as primary owner of this dataset, leveraging your robust analysis skillset to help to inform, memorialize, and continuously improve the maintenance, utilization and governance of this data. Ownership of the data set with the intent to consistently improve the availability and accuracy of the information through ongoing analysis and expertise is an absolute must. Responsibilities include: • Working with firm experts, gather and analyze data from various indices for use in reporting and decision making, and to answer questions from various stakeholders. • Review existing documentation and interview key stakeholders to codify data and reporting requirements in a manner which generates clear and concise user stories. • Coordinate requirements review meetings with business stakeholders to validate requirements. • Ability to conduct data and business process analysis to identify and substantiate requirements and solutions. • Draft detailed documentation for new and existing Index data sources, processes, and standard operating procedures. • Actively seek opportunities to standardize requirements across teams and organizations. • Communicate effectively with Information Technology, while providing guidance and direction to achieve results. • Partner with Reporting and Data Warehouse teams to identify, gather, clean, analyze, and report on data. • Conduct analysis that includes data discovery, data readiness assessments, and technical requirements development; socialize with stakeholders at all levels. • Develop and govern/execute processes and procedures relating to the daily oversight and usage of Index data sets. • Research new data sources to discover and document their strengths and weaknesses. • Other duties, as assigned, in support of the department. Qualifications • 4-5 years relevant experience in the financial services industry. • Exceptional analytical skills, both data and conceptual. • Experience with data visualization platforms like Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau required. • Experience working in a hybrid data model consisting of on-premise and cloud-based data sets. • Ability to leverage SQL to conduct data-driven analysis is required, knowledge of Python and/or R a plus. • Strong and proven oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate complicated analyses to executive-level management. • A cross-functional team player who works well with operational, technical, and support resources. • Ability to develop a proactive mindset with ability to drive outcomes in a self-directed manner with minimal direction. • Experience with data governance practices and the role of data owners and stewards in the context of business analyst work. Education • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Finance, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline. • Required credited coursework in statistics and/or mathematical analysis.
