Description:

The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a Part-time Bullpen Catcher for the Stockton Ports Minor League Affiliate. This position will be responsible for catching bullpens and supporting pitchers in preparation for Minor League games. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the bullpen catcher for the Stockton Ports warming up pitchers before and during the games. 
  • Ensure a positive and professional approach when communicating with players, coaches, and other staff. 
  • Collaborate closely with coaching staff on daily activities, schedules, and reporting times. 
  • Follow all team guidelines, protocols, and rules set by the league. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Ability to bring a positive attitude to the ballpark each day, with a mindset committed to serving the needs of the team. 
  • High level baseball catching experience, ideally in college or professional baseball. 
  • Ability to catch multiple bullpens daily.
  • Ability to work at least all home games for the duration of the Stockton Ports Minor League season.
  • Flexibility to work extensive hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the minor league baseball season.
  • Must be local to the greater Stockton, CA area (no housing or mileage reimbursements).
