Residential Senior Clinician (18SC1)

Gilead Community Services is seeking a skilled and recovery-oriented senior residential clinician to join our multi-disciplinary program staff.

About the position:

The Residential Senior Clinician for Gilead’s New Britain area residential substance use disorder treatment program for men serves as a clinical supervisor for the team, providing clinical oversight of treatment and supervision of clinical staff. The schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, from 8AM-4PM. Knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health issues, and treatment modalities is required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in a clinical field; License required (LCSW, LMFT, LPC)
  • Experience working with individuals with psychiatric issues and co-occurring substance use disorders
  • Five years of clinical experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
  • Reliable use of personal vehicle as needed

This is a non-union position and pays dependent on level of experience

Responsibilities:

  • Providing clinical leadership, direction, and oversight of an inpatient residential substance use treatment program serving men with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric issues. This includes weekly supervision of all staff members.
  • Ensuring program compliance with all contractual agreements and licensing regulationsincluding but not limited to the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), 1115 Waiver partners (DSS), the Department of Public Health (DPH), and CARF requirements
  • Overseeing the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of supervisees
  • Organizing and running weekly outpatient clinical meeting and hybrid meeting while documenting minutes of the meetings
  • Supporting the Residential Program Director by implementing recovery-oriented clinical services.
  • Ensuring timely completion of required documentation, both by clinical staff and to contractual or regulatory oversight bodies such as ABH and DMHAS.
  • Consulting with the program staff, Medical Director, and prescribing professionals regarding coordination of care, risk management, and any medical and mental health needs
