Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas is Hiring a Biology Teacher Near Dallas, TX
Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to teach high school science in a Catholic all-male setting. This teacher will be expected to:
- Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit.
- Teach, in cooperation with course level teams, five sections of science, including Biology.
- Collaborate with members of the Science Department in on-going curriculum development and review.
- Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation.
- Engage in on-going professional development.
- Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities.
- Undergraduate degree in Biology or a related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to teach Chemistry and/or Physics in addition to Biology preferred.
- Experience teaching in a Standards Aligned Curriculum preferred.
- Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.
- May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time.
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
