Responsibilities:The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure. The PACU RN is a professional nurse who is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during the post-operative phases of the perioperative stay. The PACU RN participates in the clinical assessment, planning for care, implantation of appropriate nursing techniques and evaluation of nursing interventions.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATIONGraduate of an accredited nursing program.MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCEMinimum of 1 year previous PACU experienceREQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSCurrent licensure in Texas as Registered Nurse.
