O'Hara Machinery is Hiring a Service Manager Near Auburn, NY

O'Hara Machinery is seeking a self-motivated Service Department Manager to oversee the success of and continue to grow our service department. The job requires a lot of thinking on your feet and substantial attention to detail to ensure our customer’s experience is exceptional.

Overview:

Manage a team of service technicians that perform repairs both on the road as well as in the shop. Triage all incoming service requests and manage the workflow on and off-site customer repairs. The goal is to keep the service department operating at capacity as much as possible while spreading out the workload in the most effective manner to ensure all work is being performed as quickly as possible. As well as the Service Technicians being a direct report to the Service Manager a Service Advisor also works under the Service Manager to handle incoming phone calls as well as assist in the flow of work and documentation. This job requires the right individual to take ownership of the department and not be afraid to dive into the unknown and ask questions.

Responsibilities:

- Work together with all dealership employees to ensure the customer is taken care of.

- Set an example for other employees with work ethic, attention to detail, and attention to safety.

- Continually reviews WIP to ensure job is getting completed properly.

- Reviews accuracy of pricing, parts, and dissertation of the work performed

- Works on technician recruitment and continual training to ensure we have the best technicians.

- Keeps up to date on all manufacturer product updates (recalls) and ensures they get completed.

- Works with manufacturer representatives to ensure any customer issues are quickly resolved.

- In charge of overall shop profitability.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 10 years knowledge of agricultural equipment and the agricultural economy of our area.

- Previous experience in an agricultural Repair Shop as a technician or in management.

- Self Motivated: The job can require lots of hours and being pulled in multiple different directions. Must be able to schedule your time accordingly.

- Excellent computer skills: Must be familiar with MS Office and be able to use available technology to be as efficient as possible. Training will be provided on our business system and other job-specific applications.

- Good Communication: Must be able to clearly, politely, and promptly communicate with customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
