Agriculture Service Technician

Description:

This position is specifically for in-shop repairs, no road work. The right candidate must be able to independently perform electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain diagnostics a variety of agricultural equipment. Most or the work performed will consist of longer powertrain overhauls as well as combine and forage harvester inspections and repairs. Must be able to keep a clean work environment and properly account for any special tools and miscellaneous supplies used on each work-order. Must be comfortable talking the owners of the equipment an advising them on best course of repair in conjunction with the Service Manager.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 8 years of experience performing repairs on agricultural equipment ranging from 30 and 40 series tractors up to current R series as well as late model combines and forage harvesters.

• Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment using all available resources.

• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment.

• Ability to use basic computer functions, training available for company and vendor programs

• Strict adherence to company and manufacturer guidelines.

• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly

• John Deere Advanced Service Technician certification preferred or willing to get.

• CDL-A license a plus but not a requirement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
