Job Title: Corporate Recruiter

Location: Austin, TX

POSITION SUMMARY:

O’Connell Robertson seeks an experienced Corporate Recruiter to lead the implementation of critical recruiting initiatives while finding and vetting top talent to satisfy multi-faceted project delivery and operational needs. We need a motivated professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong organizational and communication skills to apply proven talent acquisition strategies to ensure O’Connell Robertson is fully equipped to compete for the best talent in the industry.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare recruitment materials (including job descriptions) and post jobs utilizing our applicant tracking system.
  • Source and recruit candidates using databases, job boards, social media, career fairs, etc.
  • Coordinate and participate in university career fairs, supporting recruitment efforts for student interns and full-time employees.
  • Assist in managing the summer internship program.
  • Support external recruiting efforts including contact and negotiation with external recruiters, coordination of contracts for recruitment firms, staff referrals and resume intake.
  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter for promoting positions, communicating with, and sourcing candidates.
  • Promote employee referral program.
  • Conduct interviews/assess applicants.
  • Coordinate offer strategies, develop and present offers (with hiring managers).
  • Conduct any necessary background checks or pre-employment screening, when needed.
  • Monitor and apply HR Recruiting best practices and legal obligations.
  • Maintain communication with candidates until onboarding.
  • Develop and champion critical diversity initiatives.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports/metrics to stakeholders.
  • Be the central point of contact for department leaders and build influential candidate relationships.
  • Participate in development and support of corporate culture, including people initiatives & committees.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with HR team to support new hire transition and onboarding.
  • Promote O’Connell Robertson’s reputation as a “best place to work.”

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of relevant recruiting experience. AEC industry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience as an in-house Corporate or Regional Recruiter preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct structured, competency-based interviews.
  • Experience in formulating and implementing innovative recruiting strategies and programs.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS- ClearCompany a plus) or Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
