NW Works Mission:

Our mission is to empower adults with disabilities and individuals with barriers to employment to build skills and secure and sustain meaningful employment.

Job Summary: The Business Services Coordinator is responsible for providing support services as needed to select team members working on any NW Works’ contract. The Business Services Coordinator is encouraged to use all previous work experience and successes to teach best practices and develop confidence and competence in the team members. Business Services Coordinator must demonstrate the ability to make decisions independently and ensure that the team members are given every opportunity to reach their employment goals as well as meet customer demands.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be a team player and willing to collaborate closely with the Production Supervisor, Director of Therapeutic Programs, and Director of Operations on common goals.
  • Must work closely with Therapeutic Program Administrators (case managers) to communicate team member progress and ensure NW Works is providing appropriate level of support to achieve team member goals.
  • Business Services Coordinator will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities fulfilling NW Works commercial contracts.
  • Tracks and reports data supporting individual skill building that pertains to outcomes and objectives in a per centered plan.
  • Helps to promote and ensure a safe work environment. Must maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation including, but not limited to accident/injury reports, progress notes, time records, incident reports.
  • Ensures the client documentation aligns with regulatory guidelines and is completed following NW Works documentation procedure timeline.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable and familiar with basic instructional techniques, special accommodations such as rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology as well as individualized procedures in order to maximize and individual’s success.
  • Complete all trainings as required by regulatory agencies to maintain compliance.
  • Provides support to team members in community settings including but not limited to community engagement, community outings, NW Works enclaves.
  • Required member of the NW Works Garden Committee.
  • Develop and maintain best practices, SOPs, and crop rotations for NW Works Garden
  • Assist in crop yield harvest, storage, preservation, preparation, and distribution techniques.
  • Schedule team members in areas based on customer/contract capacity and team member capability.
  • Maintains the highest quality of work and customer service standards and ensures assigned contract is completed on time and on budget.
  • Maintains a safe work environment in compliance with NW Works policies and OSHA standards.
  • Adheres and upholds all NW Works policies and procedures.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday; 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and write.
  • Effectively communicate (verbal and written)

  • Meets all the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Direct Support Professional Competencies.

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Suite
  • Basic computer skills
  • Thorough Documentation
  • Trade skills (preferred)
  • Production (preferred)
  • Warehousing (preferred)
  •  Scheduling (preferred)
  • Ability to navigate mobile applications.
  • Effective and timely Vertex documentation entry (case and progress notes)

Minimum Education, Certifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license and verification of a clean driving record
  • Supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Warehouse/production experience preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Commercial warehouse environment 75%
  • Office setting 25%

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the position’s essential functions.

Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop and bend.
  • Ability to work beyond the normal work schedule.
  • Ability and use full range of motion.
  • Ability to drive a 12-passenger van.
