NV5 is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical engineering investigations, perform engineering design, and oversee construction testing. We are located in beautiful Nevada City, California, in the foothills between Sacramento and Tahoe. We collaborate with other NV5 geotechnical engineering groups from San Diego to Sacramento to Portland.

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer is an experienced, licensed professional that is responsible for:

• Developing the scope of geotechnical investigation and preparing proposals.
• Understanding client objectives, code requirements and industry standards.
• Supervising the work of engineering staff and field technicians.
• Maintaining client relationships.
• Managing project technical and financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or equivalent
• 4 or more years experience in geotechnical engineering investigation, design and/or Construction Quality Assurance (CQA)
• Insurable driving record
• Valid CA Driver's License

Certifications/Licenses:

• Professional engineering license, Civil Engineer (CE)
• Geotechnical Engineer (GE) title is a plus

The pay range for this California position is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
