You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of transmission line and related civil engineering problems involving overhead power lines and substations. In this job, you will:

Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for power delivery projects
• Increase the volume of overhead line work with existing clients
• Assist in marketing and promotion efforts to add new regional clients.
• Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and NV5 requirements.
• Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentor junior staff.
• Report to the NV5 Phoenix, Arizona office at least two (2) days every week.
• Travel to client sites as needed.

Education/Qualifications:

• A BSCE, BSCET, or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
• A concentration in civil-structural engineering is strongly preferred.
• 4 or more years' of progressive experience in the civil-structural engineering field is required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and public speaking)

Certifications/Licenses:

• Engineering in Training (EIT) registration is required.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration is desired.
