Brand Designer

Nuvolum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brand Designer to join our creative team and drive the strategic vision for our clients. As a Brand Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction of Nuvolum and our clients, taking concepts from ideation to execution, and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional work. You will be responsible for aligning creative strategies with brand standards, ensuring that our clients stand out in the market and achieve their goals.

From diligently applying design changes and incorporating feedback to each brand to handling an array of brand projects at any given moment, this individual is responsible for the quality of a brand before its launch. A high standard for quality control is a must. A high degree of proficiency in design software such as Adobe Suite’s Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Sketch, and Figma is required, along with excellent working knowledge of Google applications.

Nuvolum is a growing marketing and PR agency located in the Jackson Square Historic District of San Francisco. We provide the full scope of marketing services to our client base, making this an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, from brand execution and website design to social media graphics, print collateral, and more. This role is based at our San Francisco headquarters, and we anticipate this individual will work on an in-person schedule.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate compelling and creative branding for Ofelos Group and our clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, writers, and creative professionals to deliver high-quality, innovative work.
  • Ability to perform high-end Adobe Photoshop digital retouching
  • Ability to draft vector assets (icons, logos, UI) with Adobe Illustrator
  • Package and preflight files for release to media partners and printers
  • Work with Creative Team, Project Managers, and Accounts Team to prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
  • Work with a wide range of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, development) to ensure that creative solutions align with overall business strategies.
  • Experience with digital content such as websites, social media, online advertising, and email campaigns may be required.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must have 4-8 years of agency experience (or equivalent experience) in branding, advertising, or marketing. Experience mentoring junior teams and working in a high caliber high output environment is a plus.
  • Must have a solid knowledge of printing processes for producing collateral
  • Must have a solid ability with online processes and design for social media posts, ad banners, landing pages, and website creations
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Be a process-oriented self-starter
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Slides, Docs)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in design is required for the Brand Designer position; however, previous experience with ad agencies or design firms producing graphic design, branding, or advertising design with an outstanding portfolio may suffice in the absence of a degree.
  • Experience in Healthcare and Tech marketing is a plus.
