JOB TITLE: Compliance Manager

JOBPURPOSE: The Compliance Manager will create and conduct training to educate employees about regulations that apply to their work and develop procedures, policies, and best practices for operating within legal, ethical, and procedural guidelines. They will also design methods for reporting and dealing with compliance breaches and ethical issues as they occur, as well as produce reports on any regulatory changes within the industry and advise the leadership team on how new laws might impact current operations or future business prospects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct studies and read up on journals and other news accounts to obtain information on new laws that could impact the organization.
• Develop strategies in conformance to new regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure fulfillment of compliance standards.
• Address compliance concerns/issues with Senior staff to minimize risk.
• Organize and conduct training sessions to communicate the importance of compliance policies to all employees.
• Liaise with Human Resources to develop and implement control systems for dealing with violations of compliance guidelines and policies, including any corrective actions issued in the event of a compliance violation.
• Evaluate and revise existing compliance procedures and regulations to identify and resolve hidden or potential issues.
• Prepare and file compliance reports to the appropriate regulatory bodies.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and resolve business areas with risk of non-compliance.
• Ensure proper documentation of compliance activities for reference purposes.
• Direct and supervise activities of compliance staff.
