Job Description: As the MCO Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable, with a primary focus on collecting outstanding payments from state-funded recipients. You will work closely with third-party vendors such as HHAeXchange and Tellus to submit billing accurately and efficiently. In addition, you will manage past due accounts, maintain customer credit files, and provide support for audit requests. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strong client relationships.

If you have any other accounting, benefits coordination, payroll, or customer service experience, there may be an opportunity for you to add value in these areas as well.

Pay: Starting at $25/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain oversight of all accounts receivable, including past due or problem accounts
  • Inform management and executive teams of collection activities and provide insight on customer relations
  • Manage third-party vendors to submit billing for state-funded recipients
  • Render credit decisions after thorough review of financial statements and credit applications
  • Maintain and update customer credit files and credit limits
  • Provide support for audit requests and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives, and ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Process payroll for nurses on a weekly basis
  • Process direct deposits for field nurses weekly
  • Ensure timely remittance of Federal and State tax deposits
  • Reconcile insurance and other payroll deductions

Requirements:

  • Experience with MCO or other insurance billing
  • Strong data, computer, and math skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel Skills
  • Experience with Sage and QuickBooks Software preferred
  • Experience with HHAeXchange, Tellus, and other managed care vendors preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
  • Proven ability to manage, resolve, and prevent problems
  • Experience with insurance and medical billing is beneficial
