Job Summary:
The Thermoforming Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliability and efficiency of thermoforming production equipment through effective preventive maintenance strategies. This role requires, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities*
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities for production machinery,
Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions to resolve mechanical, electrical, or other technical problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, work orders, and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections and promoting a culture of safety among maintenance staff.
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance projects or equipment installations.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and overall facility performance.
Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems on Thermoforming equipment.
Obtain parts required for repairs or projects.
Manage / Track all work performed on machines and machine performance.
Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent analytical abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Deep understanding of safety regulations and practices to enforce a culture of safety within the maintenance team.

Education and Experience:*
Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in maintenance management or related disciplines may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5- 10 years In-line thermoforming equipment maintenance experience required, and adherence to industry-specific regulations and standards.
PLC Electrical and hydraulics experience.
Experience troubleshooting material / vacuum / transfer systems.
Have mechanical, electrical pneumatic and hydraulic aptitude.
Able to read blueprints and schematics.
Good reading comprehension and math skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, high temperatures, and moving machinery.
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing as needed.
