Nurse Family Partnership is Hiring a Nursing Practice Manager Near Denver, CO

Position Description

The primary purpose of the Nursing Practice Manager is to assist, support and mentor the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) programs’ supervisors, administrators, and state nurse consultants in the NFP program model of home visiting to assure quality and efficient implementation of the intervention. The Nursing Practice Manager supports NFP program related skill development through webinars, virtual learning environments and the use of other teaching modalities. This position will be assigned to work with a designated portfolio of network partners and requires the ability to set priorities and work collaboratively with people across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with NFP program nurse supervisors, administrators, nurse home visitors and state nurse consultants in-person, via telecommunication, on a regular, scheduled basis and as needed to discuss clinical implementation, operational and quality implementation of the model.
  • Support NFP program supervisors, nurse home visitors, administrators, and state nurse consultants in successfully implementing the NFP program model with fidelity. Support NFP program supervisors, nurse home visitors, administrators, and state nurse consultants in implementing operational efficiencies to increase growth and retention of clients.
  • Guide NFP program supervisors, nurse home visitors, administrators and state nurse consultants in interpreting and integrating the underlying theories, principles, and elements of NFP into nursing practice.
  • Assist NFP program supervisors, nurse home visitors, administrators and state nurse consultants in interpreting and integrating nursing interventions such as NFP Visit-to-Visit Guidelines, health assessments and developmental screening into nursing practice.
  • Continuously assess NFP program nurses’ proficiency attainment and professional development needs through consultation with NFP supervisors; support supervisor or state nurse consultant to identify and obtain resources to plan and implement relevant activities to assist in meeting identified needs.
  • Support local NFP program community of practice meetings as needed.
  • Monitor local and national quantitative and quality data and reports to assess strengths, challenges and opportunities in program performance and support and assist NFP program supervisors, state nurse consultants and administrators in developing goals to assure quality and fidelity to the NFP model and excellence in nursing practice.
  • Support NFP program supervisors, administrators and state nurse consultants in building and maintaining community partnerships and other networks of support.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and delivering the NFP program’s educational curriculum and innovations.
  • Participate in the evaluation and continuous improvement of the NFP program’s curriculum.
  • Exhibit sensitivity, openness, and a spirit of inquiry into other world views and cultural orientations; support department and organizational strategies, policies, practices, and processes which foster an inclusive environment and build cultural awareness.
  • Assist and collaborate with other NSO teams to support sustainability through understanding and interpreting the NFP program’s position in federal, state, and local government, including Medicaid, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and other funding streams.
  • Support regional grant funded projects as needed.
  • Assist with the creation, development, and implementation of virtual learning experiences for nurses to enhance NFP program related skill development.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of nursing practice standard work.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s degree in nursing or a related area preferred.
  • Current RN license in good standing required.
  • Minimum one-year experience within the NFP program or other home visiting program providing nurse home visitation to pregnant women or families with young children.
  • Minimum one-year experience with reflective practice and motivational interviewing.
  • Minimum one-year experience teaching adult learners, public speaking, presentation, consultation and/or nursing education.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in one of the following areas of nursing: community health, home visiting, family / maternal-child health, pediatrics, or mental health.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial, administrative, or supervisory position.
  • Experience with NFP model preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and use data to inform decisions and evaluate program performance and ability to clearly communicate the meaning of data to a broad range of audiences.
  • Professional knowledge of nursing practice and nursing processes (Nurse Practice Act).
  • Communicate effectively in verbal, non-verbal, and written formats.
  • Knowledge and value of client-centered, solution-focused, and strength-based care.
  • Ability to travel at minimum 30% of the time (dependent upon current public health orders and business need).


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position reports to the Manager, Nursing Practice and has no direct reports.


Salary

  • Salary is determined based on experience and skill set. Geographical adjustments may be considered.
  • Range: $66,900 - $92,250/year
