Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations and assisting with various tasks related to quality control, microbiology, and molecular biology. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of laboratory techniques.
Duties:
- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of senior laboratory staff
- Prepare samples and specimens for analysis
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to FDA regulations and CGMP guidelines
- Record and document test results accurately in laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and work areas
- Assist with data analysis and report preparation as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in quality control practices and microbiology principles
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Experience working in an industrial laboratory setting is preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Understanding of FDA regulations and CGMP guidelines
