Nugget Casino Resort is Hiring a Dual Rated Card & Dice Dealer / Supervisor Part Time Swing Near Sparks, NV

FUNCTION:
Deal the game of blackjack, craps, roulette, and other table games in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. This position is dual rated to a Table Games Supervisor, whose responsibility is to directly supervise the operation and conduct of assigned table games personnel, including table accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Card & Dice Dealer
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and congenial attitude with guests and Nugget team members.
  • Deal assigned games in accordance with all current Table Games policies and procedures.
  • Maintain personal appearance and uniform in accordance with company policies.
  • Capable of standing in one place for extended periods of time, with repetitive arm and hand movements, during an 8-hour shift. Overtime may be required depending on business levels.
  • Adheres to set department break schedules.
  • Promptly refers all customer complaints and game errors to the area supervisor.
  • Possesses knowledge of the property and upcoming events to efficiently answer guest inquiries, or if unable to answer, refers promptly to the area supervisor.
  • Possess the physical mobility to encompass tabletop at assigned game to ensure adequate game security and meet customer demands.
  • Has mobility and dexterity for range of motion, both left to right and right to left, bend, flexibility in fingers and hands to distribute/pick up cards, tokens, cash, and operate any other equipment needed to deal at assigned table.
  • Receive coaching in a positive manner.
  • Demonstrate support of company goals and direction positively in words and actions.

Table Games Supervisor
  • Manage the performance of dealers to ensure that each game is dealt to the guest with a high degree of proficiency and that superior guest service is provided.
  • Monitor guest flow and notify management when adjustments to open table games are needed.
  • Observe, evaluate, and rate players objectively and accurately in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Maintain proper bankroll levels to accommodate existing or anticipated play.
  • Reconcile table accounting accurately and with integrity and maintain card/dice and all gaming equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of all documents and ensure that all procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain security of designated area and immediately report any person suspected of taking unfair advantage of games to Casino Manager or Assistant Casino Manager.
  • Notify Casino Manager or Assistant Casino Manager of any significant player activity more than $2,000 or as directed by the Casino Manager.
  • Assist customers and ensure that questions or complaints are resolved in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, while setting a positive leadership example. Actively demonstrate open communication in the work environment while providing effective coaching and counseling for staff members.
  • Encourage new players regarding the merits of joining the player reward programs. Assist new players in obtaining player cards.
  • Obtain any information (name, address) on good players and relay to Casino Manager.
  • Prepare a daily report, including complete and accurate information of that day’s activities.
  • Initiate player comps within Nugget guidelines.
  • Assist and ensure that the performance evaluation program is timely, professional, and fairly administered.
  • Communicate any necessary information to the following shift.
  • Possess knowledge of the Nugget property and upcoming events.
  • Efficiently answer customer questions or if unable to answer, seek answers or refer promptly to management.
  • Receive coaching in a positive manner.
  • Support company goals and direction positively in words and actions.
  • Works overtime when required.
  • May recommend potential employees for promotion to the Casino Shift Manager.
  • Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond.”
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Always maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Table Games Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.

EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year of casino dealing experience required, with proficiency in two or more games.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Employee Gaming registration required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
