The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: "Please note that the job posting rate for this position is $20.85 to $23.12, the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salary may be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years of experience and qualifications."

General Description
Performs moderately complex rehabilitation planning and instructional work. Responsible for delivery of rehabilitative training and case management for assigned caseload; coordination of consumer's needs in order to maintain stability in the community and achieve independence; crisis prevention and intervention. Performs complex professional duties related to the evaluation, individualized program planning. Under general supervision of the Robstown Team Leader, identifies clients' rehabilitation and service coordination needs and provides the necessary instruction in teaching self-help, self-care or other skills according to the needs outlined in the client evaluations, which assist the clients in attaining their optimum levels of independence. Collects, prepares, and reviews case data used to determine client eligibility for financial, medical, and/or social services. Services provided to and adults of all ages with a diagnosis of mental illness who exhibit serious emotional, behavioral or mental disorders.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's or advance degree from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, gerontology, educational psychology.
Valid Texas driver's license with good driving record.
Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish. One-year case management experience. Experience working in a mental health setting.
