Nuance Solutions, LLC is growing and seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Award-Winning Team! The ideal candidate will have experience executing daily maintenance service, repair and improvement to the organization's facilities and equipment. Champion and drive a culture of maintenance excellence in the production facility, utilizing continuous improvement and preventive maintenance tools. This role will also be responsible for reducing maintenance related losses, breakdowns, maintenance cost, and lost productivity.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe operation of the department by internal and OSHA standards in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Support the maintenance and operation of the facility’s equipment, building structure and grounds. Ensure routine maintenance is performed as scheduled.
  • Performs maintenance duties as directed by Manager and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
  • Maintains, and establishes maintenance procedures for production lines in a chemical manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget.
  • Participates in designing and developing production capacities and capability by engaging in planning and coordinating with Plant Management and other functions.
  • Work with the department managers to develop better efficiencies.
  • Assist with managing outside contractors during maintenance or project work.
  • An understanding and a hands-on ability to work on electrical systems (up to 480V), pumps, pipework and machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No Direct Reports but ability to assist with managing performance cycles, including but not limited to: tracking, reporting, and providing feedback during regularly scheduled performance reviews is a plus.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical field preferred. Certificate in area of specialty is a plus with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, write and understand English. Ability to read, write and comprehend procedures, instructions, correspondence, and memos. The ability to speak and understand Spanish is a plus.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems as related to compounding procedures.

Computer Skills:

Computer skills required. A working knowledge of MS Office. Ability to learn in house production software and equipment software. Microsoft Office, system like an SAP

Certificates and Licenses:

Forklift Certificate or the ability to successfully complete forklift training. Transportation and/or Logistics certification. Completion of Safety related courses and Safety Training experience a plus.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.

The Maintenance Technician is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime and is required to work a flexible 40 hours a week schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hourly range is $20.00 to $32.00 annually, compensation is commensurate with experience.
