Nsight Alliance LLC is Hiring a Director of Information Technology Near Kansas, MO

Director of Information Technology - Kansas City, MO

Summary: Information Technology Department and strategic planning of technology systems for U.S. operations along with directing the local SAP IT Application support team.

Time Utilization: This position will travel up to 15% of the time. International travel required. Normal business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer’s schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Collaborate with MULTIVAC Germany on IT strategies and U.S. technology needs.
  • Provide support and guidance for the SAP IT Applications support team.
  • Develop and lead IT communication strategies.
  • Manage, direct, and assign priorities and resources to projects to ensure the attainment of IT goals and objectives.
  • Analyze complex business needs, and develop and implement technical solutions.
  • Facilitate and support internal digitalization initiatives and the creation of a modern work team.
  • Oversee technology applications and evaluate effectiveness against established goals.
  • Support global IT standards policies and systems to reinforce corporate strategies and goals.
  • Oversee systems of internal controls, emergency and backup procedures, proper licensing, system upgrades, and disaster recovery plans to ensure integrity of information, security of databases, and internal network access control.
  • Develop and control IT budget.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and ten years of experience leading IT strategy and operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to a varied audience including executives.

Math Ability: Ability to interpret statistics and calculate figures and amounts such as averages, percentages, and ratios.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a sound working knowledge of computer networks, network security, hardware and software applications, and technology application development and implementation. Experience with ERP systems is required.

Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises a team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; applying recognition and discipline as appropriate; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and developing associates through coaching, counseling, and mentoring. Ensures effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to walk, stand, and sit.

Must-Haves

1. Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP, is preferred.

2. Ten years experience leading IT strategy and operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. Able to work in the Kansas City corporate office 8-5. Willing to travel occasionally, up to 15%, with some international travel.

4. Ability to assess current systems and key needs, determine a course for strategic digital improvement, prioritize, and personally lead implementation

5. IT experience with large organizations and collaborating with global teams. Ability to understand larger, global business needs while also questioning recommendations and requests from German parent companies.

1. Currently living in the KC metro area with an easy commute to corporate office (near the airport)

2. Not more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years, 3 in the last 7 years (please explain if this is not the case)
