Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Data Engineer to join our team to build and maintain scalable and reliable data engineering solutions that support our enterprise data warehouse and business analytics. In this position, you will be responsible for managing daily data replications/ Loads, designing, developing and deploying data pipelines, workflows and data models. This position requires an in depth knowledge of Data Ingestion/Data Replications tools (Ex. Rivery/Fivetran), Data Transformation leveraging AWS services like Glue/Airflow, Snowflake, Data Modeling, CI/CD, and DevOps . This position will collaborate with other data engineers, DBAs, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure business requirements, data quality, security, and governance.

• Develop, Monitor, Manage, and Maintain ingestions pipelines and daily loads from Oracle, SQL Server, API and SFTP sources into Snowflake.
• Optimize the daily data loads into snowflake data warehouse and recommend methodologies to optimize them.
• Design, develop and deploy data pipelines and workflows using AWS services and Snowflake to ingest, transform, and deliver data from various sources to snowflake based enterprise data warehouse. This includes but not limited to writing SQL queries, macros, tests, source to target mappings, and documentation.
• Deep understanding of optimizing performance of ETL/ELT, building & executing tests, maintaining versions/repository, and documenting the workflows
• Apply data ops, CI/CD, DevOps principles and practices to automate and streamline data processes and ensure continuous delivery and integration of data solutions
• Cross-collaborate with business stakeholders, reporting team and solution architects to lay out a robust design, data architecture and data models for data warehouse that support business intelligence solutions
• Hands on experience delivering cloud data integration projects preferably with AWS
• Document and communicate data solutions, standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment across the data engineering team and the organization
• Deliver and manage projects using Agile/SCRUM/KANBAN methodologies
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues and incidents and provide root cause analysis and resolution
• Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the data domain and propose improvements and innovations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field is preferred
• 8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles with proven expertise in at least two data replications and engineering tools
• Deep knowledge of data ingestion processes leveraging AWS services like Airflow/Glue and Snowflake cloud data platform, architecture, features and capabilities
• Proficient in writing, maintaining, and optimizing complex SQL scripts and stored procedures leveraging Snowflake, Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Experience working in cloud data engineering team (preferably AWS)
• Knowledge of ETL design, development, deployment, CI/CD and Versioning.
• Experience working with SSIS and creating ETL workflows
• Experience in data ops, CI/CD, DevOps tools and methodologies, such as Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins etc.
• Strong understanding of data quality, security, and governance principles and frameworks
• Experience delivering and managing projects using Agile/SCRUM/KANBAN methodologies
