Job DescriptionBank and Credit Union Consulting Business Development OfficerEssential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals/engagement letters and presentations that address client demands and clearly and concisely communicate the value proposition of the firms consulting services.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams including consultants, analysts, and project managers, to safeguard seamless delivery of services and support client satisfaction and retention.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and preserve robust relationships with existing and potential clients. This includes understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives to successfully position the firms consulting services and lead client engagement and fulfillment.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, including tracking leads, opportunities, and client interactions using CRM software and providing regular updates and reports to leadership on sales activities and performance.
  • Networking & Industry Engagement: Represent the firm at industry events, including state banking association conferences and networking functions. The goal is to expand the firms presence in the assigned territory and build relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners.
  • New Business Development: Proactively identify, pursue, and obtain new business opportunities with financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, and other financial service providers.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct complete research and analysis of the financial industry landscape in the assigned region, including identifying key market trends, competitor analysis, and prospective business opportunities.
QualificationsBank and Credit Union Consulting Business Development OfficerRequired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated track record of achievements in business development/sales roles. B2B financial services sales experience preferred.
  • Robust understanding of the financial industry landscape, including knowledge of banking trends and high-level banking principles.
  • Superb communication, presentation, organization and negotiation skills, with the capacity to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders. Must also be able to preserve relationships with key strategic partners.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work self-sufficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
