Compensation: $140,000 - $168,000 Negotiable based on experience

SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST RELOCATE TO: West Point, VA
NHH is seeking a Maintenance Planning Supervisor for a global Consumer Packaging company for their one of their largest mills in West Point, Virginia which is about 20 minutes from Williamsburg and about 40 minutes from Richmond. This is an onsite position working in a 24/7 operation. 
As the Maintenance Planning Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the mill by effectively planning and scheduling maintenance activities. You will be responsible for coordinating with various departments to optimize equipment uptime, minimize downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Job Functions
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment and machinery within the paper mill.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production managers to prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment criticality and production requirements.
  • Utilize Enterprise Asset & Procurement Management (EPAM) process to manage mill workflow and equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify potential issues and proactively schedule preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure availability of spare parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to assess maintenance needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to record maintenance activities, track equipment history, and generate reports.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 6-8 maintenance planners and coordinators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Implement best practices and standards for maintenance planning and scheduling to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance of equipment and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial or chemical engineering
  • 7 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling and/or mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or manufacturing mill environment.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Enterprise Asset & Procurement Management (EPAM) process.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience managing departmental budget.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards applicable to industrial operations.
