Now CFO is Hiring a Bookkeeper/Accountant - Consultant Near Portland, OR

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating accurate financial reporting and analysis for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Earn between $65K to 75K, depending on experience. Hybrid work schedule, depending on experience!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights on financial performance to clients.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and related schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and policies.
  • Maintain and update financial records and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management and clients.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes to streamline financial operations.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and industry trends.
  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage expense tracking and reimbursement processes.
  • Prepare and submit sales tax returns and other required filings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of tax principles and experience with preparing tax returns is a plus.
  • Experience with bookkeeping and payroll processing is highly desirable.
