Shift - Monday - Friday 5am - 1pm

Pay starts at $16 an hour, benefits at 60 days, paid holidays!

Position Summary

The Material Handler will be responsible for assisting with barcoding materials when assembled. They will also be responsible for special orders that require cut downs.

Essential Responsibilities

• Works with other departments to get products for trim kit orders.
• Performs cut down for customer special orders and ensures they are property packaged and labeled correctly.
• Communicates with the Sales Department regarding customer special orders.
• Performs a quality inspection prior to shipment, may need to rebuild and band unit.
• Documents and performs inventory control functions to process conversions correctly.
• Setups and rotates through the saw, shrink tunnel and packaging area.
• Use master templates to accurately cut products to specs.
• Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
• Processes returns from customers ensuring proper paperwork has been completed.
• Perform an inspection of the Forklift, tugger and saw at the beginning of the shift and report any equipment malfunctions or damages to your Supervisor.
• Operates a forklift or tugger to move product and pallets throughout warehouse safely.
• Maintains work pace required to achieve production demands and complete required paperwork.
• Other duties may also be assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic math skills, interpersonal/team skills, and reasoning skills.
• Ability to use tape guns, make boxes, lift pallets, stack boxes, etc.
• Able to visually inspect items for defects prior to pulling the item.
• Demonstrated capability to effectively use tape guns, make boxes, lift pallets, stack boxes, etc.
• Ability to read, understand and carry our written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Must be able to pass all NOVO forklift training and operate a forklift following all safety requirements established within NOVO.
• Must be able to use radio frequency scanner.
• Flexibility in scheduling - able to work overtime as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience lifting wide loads as long at 17 feet.
