Homestead Health Care is hiring Caregivers for our Senior Living Facility in West Bloomfield 

Do you love helping seniors and getting to know them and hear their stories? Caregivers are chosen based on several factors, the ability to show compassion for our residents, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Attendance is very important also. If you have a good track record for being on time for your shifts and not calling off, you could be a good fit. If you possess these qualities, please apply. Responsibilities:

• Assisting with care needs, specifically but not limited to: dressing, grooming, bathing, incontinence care, etc.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
• Assess for change in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services and coworkers
• Assist other team members with their duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Able to pass a criminal background check
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with the elderly, preferred
• Must be 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Every other weekend is required
• A positive attitude and the ability to arrive on time for every shift
