Novares is seeking a Payroll and Benefits administrator who would be responsible for assisting in the managing and overseeing the extensive programs at Novares to include medical, dental, vision, COBRA, life insurance, short term and long-term disability, leave of absence, the 401k Retirement Savings Program and the payroll system. This role requires in depth knowledge of benefit administration for an organization of at least 1,000 persons. Will use effective oral and written communications to obtain and deliver information. This role will be a member of the HR team and report to the Payroll & Benefit Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Execute the company’s vision and mission, while successfully practicing its core values related to employees, integrity and ethics, operational excellence, safety, and corporate social responsibility;
· Performs benefit administration activities in support of core transaction processing, including but not limited to, health and welfare benefits and retirement plan benefits. Manage the transmission of files and data to ensure employee benefits are updated
· Collaborate with third party administrators and brokers to ensure that benefits comply with applicable laws
· Assist employees with online benefit
· Monitors benefit elections through queries and reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Serves as a resource for internal and external HR partners and employees.
· Create benefit presentations for new hire orientation, annual enrollment and to meet departmental benefit-related items
· Reconciles billing monthly for all benefit bills and ensures payments are submitted timely
· Makes recommendations for process improvement, continuously improving efficiency and customer interaction
· Act as the subject matter expert for all benefit programs for inquiries: Health and Welfare, Leaves of Absence, Disability programs, PTO, EAP and Retirement
· Collaborates with HRIS, internal support groups, and third-party providers to ensure current and new programs are tested and updated prior to launch
· Assists with audit responses and requests for data specializing in retirement
· Demonstrate working knowledge of benefit laws and regulations
· Payroll Administration
· Responsible for timely, accurately and compliantly processing company payroll. Audit and process payroll documents.
· Processes employee Time & Attendance data to payroll and reconcile variances
· Prepares and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
· Develops in depth understanding of payroll software and HRIS. Create reports on demand.
