Novant Health is seeking a Sonographer Student. The Student Sonographer assists sonographers and physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

Qualifications

• Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Currently enrolled in CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience : Successful completion of two semesters in CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Additional Skills (required) : Ability to successfully complete generic and department -specific skills validation. Good communication skills.

Working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment. Able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served .

Basic understanding of basic US exams. Basic computer skills.
