Delivery Lead

DHHS Information System and Technology (IS&T) is seeking to hire a Delivery Lead to keep multiple projects on track and ensuring one or many IT delivery teams work is completed on time and according to process and specifications.

The IT delivery teams are cross functional teams comprised of Business Analysts (BA), Senior BAs, Testers, and Technical Analysts (TA).

This role works with the portfolio management team to manage the division or program backlog and assigns work to the IT delivery team members.

The Delivery Lead may, at times, perform business process analysis, design, testing or other system support needed within the IT delivery team.

Responsibilities :

• Serves as functional lead (coordinates work efforts, assigns work, prepares project / work plans
• Monitors work progress and prepares project progress reports
• Is aligned to priorities for the technical teams and customers, and ensures delivery team work supports these
• Management and tracking of commitments
• Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress
• Works to minimize meetings, but when needed, they are well-run and efficient
• Coaches the team to improve collaboration and outcomes
• Manages and coordinates cross team dependencies
• Actively works to identify and manage impediments, and escalates appropriately
• Conduct Scope inquiries and facilitate business requirements sessions as needed
• Consult with leadership on system best practices
• Assist in documentation of business processes, business rules, policies and standards
• Communicate with business and technical team members

Qualifications :

• SDLC knowledge Waterfall required, agile and other methodologies preferred
• Business Analyst Experience preferred
• Project Management or Delivery Management Experience
• Product Owner experience or knowledge
• Meeting facilitation
• Persuasive communication and facilitation techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Negotiation and productive conflict management
