This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location and Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

NOVA Chemicals Information Technology (IT) team provides IT solutions for our employees across business and manufacturing teams. We are seeking an IT Analyst to join our Modern Workplace team. This position will be at our US Commercial Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will also support a remote manufacturing location in Connersville Indiana.
In this role you will collaborate with highly motivated team members across NOVA Chemicals to implement solutions following our NOVA Chemicals management of change process. You will have the opportunity to provide IT solutions to business stakeholders along with growing your own skills by learning existing and new technologies as they are introduced into the environment.
You Will Use Your Expertise To:
Understand and support the client PC, server and networking environments and the relationship between these technologies in the environment.
Understand and support Cloud-based Technologies and integration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve IT issues.
Configure and deploy computer, server and networking hardware at various locations.
Troubleshoot and configure the components within a Microsoft client and server operating systems.
Utilize integrated IT solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft InTune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Viva and others.
Collaborate with IT members and business stakeholders leveraging agile practices.
Maintain NOVA Chemicals’ network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, understand requirements, and develop solutions to meet their requirements.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Technology with 3 to 5 years related experience and continued professional development; or 7 to 9 years combination of post-secondary education and related experience with continued professional development.
A demonstrated commitment to safety.

Excellent knowledge of current Microsoft Windows Client and Server operating systems.
Motivation to learn and tenacious at troubleshooting issues.
Ability to escalate issues internally and seek vendor support when required to keep the IT systems running reliably.
Ability to work and collaborate within a highly technical team, build on each other’s ideas and is eager to learn new technologies.
Strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Demonstrated ability to support networking solutions with a strong focus on Cisco and Juniper, wired and wireless technologies.
Proficient understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, QoS, VPN, VXLAN, EVPN and VLAN.
Supporting VOIP infrastructure for MS Teams including SBCs, SBAs & Analog Gateways from AudioCodes & Ribbons. As well as working knowledge with Avaya Aura PBX.
Knowledge in troubleshooting VOIP issues through SIP traces and logs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to challenge the status quo and implement best practices.
The following would be considered an asset:
Microsoft, Juniper and other industry certifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
Programming Knowledge (Ansible / Python) would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of FreshService ITSM tool.
ITIL certification
Knowledge in Microsoft Viva
