The testing Nova Analytic Labs will perform iscritical to the health and safety of recreational and medicinal cannabis andhemp products. Nova Analytic Labs will provide the highest quality andsafety in testing to the community by combining advanced technology andinnovative scientific methods.

The ideal candidate will possess soundscientific knowledge, management skills, and an eye for continuous improvement.Flexibility and dedication are a must. 

The candidate will supervise and coordinate activitiesand workers engaged in tasks associated with all aspects of the laboratory.Also, will work in the laboratory to assist in requisitioning, sample prep,data analysis, reporting and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

·Responsible for providing day to daysupervision over all aspects of the laboratory

·Manages all lab and administrativestaff

·Accessible to testing personnel atall times

·Provides orientation, training andperformance feedback for staff

·Sets standards, policies andguidelines to meet certification standards and efficient management oflaboratory

·Ensures resolution of errors beforeresults are released to clients or quickly thereafter

·Ensures staff, equipment and recordsare always in compliance with SOPs

·Performs supervisory duties such asbut not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, intervention, discipline andtermination of staff

·Tracks errors, corrective actions andensures their resolution and systemic corrections if necessary

·Tracks EQ and QC performance andidentifies problems and their resolution

·Reviews analytical data forcorrectness and conformity to SOP, ISO and state regs

·Reviews and releases final clientCOAs

·Continuously seeks out new and betterideas, driving best practices

·Ensure samples are received,extracted and resulted in a manner that is compliant with SOPs

·Performs any duties delegated by theLab Director and/or Management

·Responsible for maintaining clientrelations

·Ensure turnaround time for samples isalways 72 hours

·Ensures results are accurate andworkflow is properly followed

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Sciencein a science related degree (Masters or PhD preferred)

Experience:

·6 years of lab experience in a highcomplexity laboratory, environmental laboratory, cannabis laboratory or foodtesting laboratory and at least two years in management role

·Experience with LC/MS, GC/MS andICP/MS

·Cannabis Lab experience preferred
