Responsible to oversee all general operations of assigned store, including, but not limited to, inventory, ordering, receiving, and pricing, as well as other administrative responsibilities;
oversee store location, departments and employees.
Accountabilities*
May be responsible for one or more of the following :
Direct and coordinate store activities and departments
Implement predetermined policies and procedures in conjunction with leadership and staff members
Monitor vendors to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits
Greet all customers in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner
Role model appropriate professional behavior and display a positive service demeanor
Ensure all merchandise received from vendors is Inspected and accounted for
Ensure merchandise is stored where appropriate and can be easily found
Ensure that storage / store temperatures remain within proscribed parameters
Effectively handle employee requests and / or complaints
Effectively handle customer special orders and / or complaints
Assist or fill in any and all floor positions in the store as needed
Oversee management of the team, including identification of staffing needs, staff recruitment and hiring, performance assessments, and other personnel matters related to the team
Creates sales budget for the store
Creates labor budget for the stores
Handles HR issues from all managers and all hourly employees
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
High School Diploma or GED (college degree a plus)
Minimum of three (3) years' experience handling job duties comparable to those outlined above. *C-Store and Food Service background preferred.*
Demonstrated knowledge of basic management principles involved in planning, recruitment, performance management, employee relations, production, and coordination of resources
Basic knowledge of store economics and budgeting
Basic knowledge of employment law and risk mitigation strategies
Demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent management and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Problem solving skills as well as judgment and decision-making skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment*
This position is based in a retail environment and involves the routine use of telephone, computer, and scanner.
