Notre LLC is Hiring a Retail Store Manager Near Chicago, IL

Notre is looking for a hardworking self-starter to join the team as our Store Manager in Chicago. To be successful in this role, you must be a sales-driven individual, have a knack for developing and managing a talented team; and have a strategy for maximizing our growing potential.

Job Description

Customer Service & Sales

  • Setting the standards for seamless operation and functioning of the store ensuring the very best customer service levels at all times and fostering a memorable in-store experience.
  • Achievement of key financial targets
  • Building relationships with existing clientele and growing customer base
  • Helping business develop a customer database & information capture
  • Delivering the monthly and seasonal sales targets
  • Develop strategy to building relationships with existing clientele and growing customer base
  • Management of customer feedback, ensuring the very best level of customer service at all times

Leadership

  • Leading by example to set standards and culture of professionalism
  • Develop store policy manual & standards with stakeholders for store staff
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop staff
  • Establish & create on-going product knowledge training sessions with store staff
  • Manage bi-weekly staff rotation
  • Create internal programming to establish team morale & team building, inside & outside of the store (i.e. staff dinners, gatherings)
  • Establish protocols and paperwork for staff needing disciplinary action
  • Establish check-ins with staff to identify and initiate any staff needs as well as assess performance in the form of a quarterly & annual review, to be documented and shared with stakeholders.

Operations

  • Establish and chair daily morning meetings with store staff, communicating any specific sales targets & objectives
  • Establish weekly and monthly communication meetings with store staff to review sales targets, incoming/new product, product launches, in-store events, brand updates to keep the staff well informed.
  • Management of cash handling and deposits to be done daily with deposit receipt sent immediately to the staff accountant and CFO
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly analytics reports for stakeholders and buying team to detail product performance, staff performance, customer traffic, customer feedback, and anything else of relevancy.
  • Work extensively with merchandising and buying teams to manage and maintain store inventory
  • Oversee inventory transfer processes (Inventory management and cleanliness should be of the highest standards)
  • With the merchandising manager, oversee store’s visual presentation standards are met.
  • Facilities management- ensure all systems, fixtures, furniture, lighting, etc. are well maintained at all times.
  • Ensure the statutory Health and Safety Regulations are met.

Community

  • Create outreach & community strategy to create touchpoint with the store & brand at-large. This includes local businesses, organizations, individuals to drive the brand and store’s awareness in the Chicago market.
  • Assist the Brand Director with the planning and management of store events 

About You:

  • 3 years previous hospitality and/or retail management experience
  • Retail reporting experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to interpret the sales reports. 

Technical Skills and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CRM software experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
