A Cary family of 3 is seeking a loving nanny to add to their family as the mother returns to work after caring for their daughter for her first 6 months. Dad works outside the house but mom will work from home three days per week, she is busy with calls during the day, and she will aim to nurse the baby as many times as possible, She would like to take advantage of being home and seeing her/engaging in play, but wouldn’t hover. She will also be pausing to walk their dog.
The right nanny will be experienced with babies and early childhood development and be trained in child safety techniques also ideally, the nanny will have a local network of other caregivers for frequent baby socialization opportunities.
She will partner with the parents to create a nurturing environment for the baby to thrive. She will show initiative in introducing creative play and socialization with planned baby outings. She will be proactive in the baby’s care and accommodating to the baby’s moods and weather.
The nanny’s primary focus will be caring for the daughter, including feeding, helping with her development (games, reading, movement, outside play, and socialization), and showering her with love.
Schedule flexibility will be important as there will be times that work and related travel will require a longer day (offset by days off or a later start time to balance the hours). Advance notice and courtesy to the nanny will be given when the schedule needs to flex.
This home is cleaned weekly, and the family expects the nanny to help keep it tidy throughout the day in the common areas used by nanny and baby. Baby laundry and bottle and pacifier sterilization will be done by the nanny.
Nanny’s that are bilingual are desired, but not required.
