Nostrum High Performance is Hiring a Sales Associate / Key Accounts Manager - Motorsports / Performance Automotive Near Ann Arbor, MI

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for retail sales, dealer sales, and all new wholesale contracts of Nostrum High Performance fuel system products (injectors, pumps, and associated parts). This shall include finding potential dealers via phone/email/social media/forums, prospecting, engaging, nurturing, closing, satisfying orders (shipping), and follow up post sales. Their goal will be to close contract customers as well as help manage the sales teams leads. They will be responsible for lead management and engagement with customers through various means (email, phone, social media, website inquiries, forums, etc.). The sales team member will also assist the sales and marketing team with product launches as well as social media posts. They will also be responsible for sponsorships, market research, and compiling data to allow Nostrum to make decisions on what products to bring to market and what specifications (flow rate increase, pricing, bundling options, etc.) these products need to be to be a viable, and sellable product. They will also support the Director of Finance & Sales in creating sales and inventory forecasts. Responsibilities and compensation may vary depending on experience and employment status. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sales
    • Engage directly with customers to explore and learn about them (phone, email, social media, in-person)
    • Responding to inquiries through social media, email, telephone and website requests
    • Prospecting leads to identify potential customers, lead capture, investigation
    • Nurture potential customers and dealers from “lead” to “sale”, seek engineering and technical support as needed (engage team members as needed to build customer confidence)
    • Close with customers and dealers with pricing, invoicing, and transaction
    • Complete order satisfaction from inventory picking through pack to ready to ship (pick-up by carrier)
    • Execute order follow-up with tracking information and support information (instructions, tips, data, etc.)
    • Manage leads through the sales cycle
    • Support customer engagement at trade shows and other grassroot events
    • Travel to visit larger dealers to nurture/build stronger relationships
    • Manage store front properties and customer engagement on-site
    • Assist with creating forecasts for inventory as well as sales
    • Take lead on sales gate reviews and make sure all teams are on the same page for product launches
    • Assist Sales team in launching products (social media campaign, make pre-orders, make sure website and USP are ready)
    • Identify potential contract sales, define viability of contract, scope a contract, and complete contract up till signed. This will require training with the Vice President
    • Determine costing and pricing which involves BOM revisions and market evaluation
  • Sponsorship Program
    • Administer the sponsorship program (marketing & development)
    • Identify and close sponsorship opportunities, including Agreements
    • Assist in managing sponsorship activities and marketing
  • Administrative
    • Finished goods inventory tracking
    • File organization/SharePoint administration
    • Business Process Development / Operational /tactical
    • Monthly Dept Scorecard & Report - Social Media Metrics

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Expertise in sales and sales cycle activities
  • Outgoing, friendly and strong customer engagement skills (phone, written or in person)
  • Social media savvy – capable of customer engagement through social media channels
  • Experience with lead management
  • Strong documentation skills for lead management and market research data
  • Fluent in English & strong writing skills, other languages a plus
  • Automotive enthusiast with knowledge of the industry
