Norton Consulting Investigations is Hiring a Field Supervisor Near Las Vegas, NV

 General Description: 
Under the direction of the NCI General Manager, is responsible for optimal day-to-day operational performance of the physical security staff and employees of Norton Consulting and Investigations by assuring sound operational policies are being utilized and providing effective oversight for security officers.
Duties:
1. Provides day-to-day operational oversight of the physical security staff and employees of Norton Consulting and Investigations (NCI)
2. Acts as primary advisor to company owners for Physical Security Accounts
3. Interacts with clients to ensure delivery of high-quality customer service.
4. Evaluates service quality of the workforce and initiates corrective measures as appropriate.
5. Employs the NCI security force as economically as possible.
6. Writes, updates, and publishes workforce operating policies and post orders.
7. When possible, integrates new technologies and/or physical security standards. 
8. Participates in recruiting and selection of new hire employees, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff.
9. Leads the physical security force by positive motivation and implements disciplinary action, when necessary, up to and including suspension. All suspensions shall be reported to the General Manager and/or Company Owner prior to action being initiated. 
10. Counsel employees on work standards and behavior.
11. Purchase necessary supplies and equipment for the workforce, not to exceed authorized spending limits.
12. Oversees selection, determines staffing requirements, schedules work assignments and ensures personnel are present and fit for duty.
13. Responsible for initial and continuing training of the workforce
14. Writes reports.
15. Manages and safeguards company resources.
16. Prepare and give business briefings and training seminars.
17. All other duties as assigned by NCI Management
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years’ work experience in leadership, management, and/or supervisory positions
  • 5 years’ work experience in the security or police industries
  • Ability to make sound decisions.
  • Understanding at application level, sound physical security concepts and principles
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.
  • Possess good public speaking abilities. 
  • Proficient with computers and writing official reports and correspondence.
  • Proficient with Microsoft® Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain a State of Nevada PILB armed work card.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to lead and manage diverse workforces.
  • Ability to work irregular hours.
  • Ability to attend workshops, training, meetings, and conferences as required.
  • Ability to travel.
Highly Desired:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Criminal Justice, Security Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or other related field
  • Experience interacting with city, county, state, and federal government agencies.
  • Previous military, law enforcement, or government security background.
  • Possess a Nevada Concealed Weapons Permit.
  • Experience writing post orders and departmental policy.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and government regulations pertaining to security in Nevada.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and use sound time management.
