Job Summary

The Associate Director of Campus Selection will assist the recruiting team to deliver our mission to students and the community we serve by owning the following areas: Sourcing, Selection, Post-Selection, Accountability/Data Tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing Efforts

  • Develop qualified lead strategies from a variety of sources
  • In-office: current and former interns, financial representatives, staff, leaders
  • On-campus: COIs, professors, department heads, athletics, career services, student organizations
  • Actively participate in campus-sponsored events like career fairs, class/club talks and networking events
  • Identifying opportunities for branding on local college campuses
  • Develop relationships with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share leads and best practices
  • Prepare and maintain recruiting and marketing materials
  • Determine, schedule and coordinate on-campus recruiting activities

Selection Efforts

  • Work with campus leadership team to drive activity to individually attract and on-board 15 interns a year
  • Phoning and pre-screening prospective candidates
  • Owning candidate communication between campus leadership team
  • Supporting candidates through our full-cycle selection process

Post-Selection Efforts

  • Own Candidate experience from “yes” to intern financial planning school alongside campus leadership team. This includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Run weekly on-boarding meetings to update candidates on progress in the Contract and Licensing process
  • Build confidence for interns going into intern financial planning school
  • Own communication between candidate, contract and licensing team and leadership team

Accountability and Tracking

  • Recruiting calendar and communications management for owned campuses
  • Manage tracking of recruiting activity
  • Communication with leadership team on activity, needs and actions
  • Utilize home office-supported software to maintain the candidate database and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process with support of campus coordinator

Pay: $43,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
