**The IU5 Migrant Education Program is looking for a lead teacher for this year's Franklin County Summer School of Excellence at Benjamin Chambers Elementary School, Chambersburg. Candidates should be available for Onboarding and In-Service June 10-14, 2024. Program dates/times will be June 17-27, 2024, Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am-3:00pm.
Position Summary:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit 5's Migrant Education Program is seeking a lead teacher for a campus-based summer school program. In addition to planning, instructing, and assessing Migratory/English Language Learner students through daily on-site instruction, the lead teacher will coordinate with the Program Supervisor for daily operations. The lead teacher will also assist with coordinating registration, transportation, scheduling, and professional development opportunities.
The primary goal of the Migrant Education Program is to ensure that all migrant students reach challenging academic standards. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers to make a lasting impact with diverse students! The part-time, contracted position reports to the Migrant Student Support Specialists and Program Supervisors.

This job operates in various locations. Incumbent must have the ability to monitor students and check work in classrooms with a variety of seating and desk organization. Candidate are required to have reliable transportation to arrive on time to the teaching location.
