NWRII programs and services include: Inpatient and Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Outpatient Mental Health Treatment, Psychiatric Medication Management, Primary Care, Intensive Case Management, Housing Case Management and Jail Re-Entry Case Management.

NWRII is currently looking for a full-time or part-time primary care Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). This individual must be highly motivated and a team player. To qualify:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides comprehensive advanced practice nursing care for patients in a behavioral health (Substance Use Disorder/mental health) clinical environment.

· Performs initial patient screenings, patient history and physical examinations.

· Works closely with other members of patient care team in the formation of the total care plan for patients.

· Observes, evaluates and records any significant behavior and reaction patterns.

· Uses judgement to intervene in crisis situations and adjusts treatment or care plans.

· Screens for and addresses side effects or other medication problems, monitors efficacy, responds as needed.

· Facilitates or co-facilitates behavioral health groups and develops one-on-one therapeutic relationships directed at patient centered coping skills.

· Meets or exceeds quality care standards, achieves clinical excellence, contributes to quality improvement and strives for high patient satisfaction.

· Independently plans work and develops procedures to accomplish goals.

· Participates actively in the quality improvements system, complies with all appropriate Washington State Department of Health standards, National Patient Safety goals and other quality improvement projects.

· Maintains appropriate, accurate and timely records using a computerized record keeping and coding system.

· Works closely as primary care with other providers in accepting referrals, providing feedback and sending referrals as needed.

· Serves as Northwest Resources II’s Behavioral Health Champion and is recognized as a consultant and role model to other health care professionals both within, and outside, the organization.

· Develops and/or conducts in-service education programs for other health care professionals.

· Serves as advisor/member of committees as needed.

· Maintains professional skills through research and training/continuing education opportunities.

· Participates in interdisciplinary meetings; stays abreast of trends and best practices; develops and implements new and revised methods, practices, policies, techniques and procedures.

· Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and federal, state and local laws.

· Other projects/duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Required Education and Experience:

· Master’s degree in nursing or doctorate in nursing practice.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

· Washington State licensure as an ARNP with prescriptive authority.

· National certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

· DEA card.

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

· Successful completion of NP 24-hour Waiver Training within 30-days of hire.
