Responsibilities include :
Administers human resources policies and procedures that cover multiple functional areas.
Processes paperwork for functional area according to established procedures.
May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Communicates effectively. Establishes and maintains two way communication with peers, staff, leaders, and administration.
Adapts to change in a positive, professional manner. Cooperates well with peers and supports group decisions. Communicates appropriate information to lead staff member, supervisor, manager or director in a timely manner.
Completes required internal education in a timely manner. Consistently uses skilled communication which demonstrates congruence between words and actions and holds others accountable for doing the same.
Solves problems or directs customer to appropriate resource for problem resolution. Coordinates and completes assigned tasks or projects in a timely manner.
Creates reports, letters, graphs, spreadsheets or presentations as requested. Accurately communicates HR policies, procedures, and practices.
Serve as internal consultant to directors, supervisors and employees on personnel issues that affect performance and business relationships.
Assist in the recruiting process and serve as a resource for applicants, employees and managers to provide information to complete recruiting process.
Administers the Requisition job vacancies and posting / un-posting process. Completes all items of the prescreening process on candidates for hire, students, and contractors Ensures effective onboarding of new hires : completes the E-verify process, submit payroll information, enter employee information into appropriate databases / reports and assemble new employee files Administers Benefit enrollment process and resolves issues related to benefits in a professional and timely manner.
Assists in the processing of employee STD / LTD claims. Assists in the verification process of all licensure and certification requirements.
Process UI Claims Insurance information through third party administrator. Maintains contract employee / contract service database.
Manages annual correspondence and verification of contract employee / contract service status. Ensure accurate and complete processing of all contract workers.
Participates in organization and preparation of employee events as needed. Participates in Community Cares rewards program.
Actively participates in the development and implementation of process improvements. Processes external employment verifications.
Reviews employee information data in HMS and / or employee file to provide verification.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or requested.
