Northwest Children's Home is Hiring a Behavior Technician Near Lewiston, ID

SCHEDULE

Rotating four days on, four days off.

  • Day Shift: 7AM - 5PM
  • Swing Shift: 1PM - 11PM
  • Overnight Shift: 10PM - 8AM

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

Added to base pay of range $16 - $18/hour.

  • $2/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Behavior Technician is responsible for supporting the clients and the structure of the program. This program will focus on identifying and stabilizing the client’s psychiatric needs with an evidence based and trauma informed approach.

This position is to maintain continuity in the daily schedule and assure safety of clients at all times. It is the expectation that communication between the team is effective and efficient and all required documentation is completed accurately and within a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have one year of experience working directly with children.
  • Two years of social services education may be substituted for the required experience.
  • A valid state issued driver’s license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide verification.
  • Able to pass required Background Checks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Social Services related field.
  • Paid experience working with children and/or youth in a group treatment setting.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization.
  • Ability to learn and operate required agency software and technology.
  • Able to complete and maintain all training requirements per agency policy and procedures.
