Northwest Center is Hiring a Lead Met Park Ambassador for Northwest Center Services at Amazon Near Arlington, VA

The Northwest Center @ Amazon team operates in a fast-paced and demanding corporate environment where we provide professional 5-star customer service across several program divisions. As our Lead Park Ambassador, you will be the lead day to day as well as provide information on park programs, promote activities, answer guest questions, support and educate guests around park rules, support onsite events, serve as a liaison for other vendors, and gather metrics on park activities. Your team of ambassadors are solution providers and seek to provide a memorable customer centric experience through each interaction and you will be a key motivator and leader. Park Ambassadors will predominately be outdoors doing roves of the park engaging with the community, reviewing park conditions, and supporting activities taking place in the area. Schedule: 40 Hours per week betweenMonday - Sunday between 8:30AM - 7PM. Must be able to work a flexible schedule during hours of operation for weekdays and availability over the weekend.Starting Hourly Rate: $26.93 per hour | Full Hourly Range - $26.93 - $32.05 per hour

** Please submit your resume with your applications **Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Lead day-to-day operations supporting the park.
  • Gather and track hourly counts of metrics and support other data collection efforts to provide insight on park usage.
  • Communicate with leadership, property management, janitorial, and security as necessary.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the community and stakeholders supporting the park.
  • Attend regular meetings and trainings regarding park support, events, and program improvements.
  • Review daily schedule for park events and activities. Ensure Ambassadors are equipped with necessary information to provide support of said events and activities.
  • Conduct Training when needed and provide input to Business Analytics regarding continuous improvement.
  • Provide (or direct) park ambassador daily tasks.
  • Report and execute operations consistent with established SLAs.
  • Be attentive and provide exceptional, professional customer service to Amazonians, clients, contractors, and visitors.

Support and Guide Ambassadors:

  • Collaborate with Assistant Manager to ensure consistency across the Ambassador team.
  • Participate in Ambassador hiring.
  • Coach and develop to facilitate success in current role and readiness for potential growth into other roles.
  • Provide input to Assistant Manager on Ambassador performance.

Needed Experience/Education
Education

  • High School Diploma

  • Experience leading people.
  • Experience working in events, park, or community facing engagement roles.
  • Experience involving extensive interactions with the public and building partnerships with other vendor partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required along with polite and professional phone etiquette.
  • Positive, upbeat attitude and able to get along with everyone.
  • Must be reliable and punctual with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

  • Above average communication skills preferred.
  • Experience using MS Office suite of products preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Ability to work on a tablet/computer.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to see both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment’s notice and occasional evening. Must be able to potentially lift or carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires roving the park, so the ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 radius is required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round on your feet for 2-4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours for the day.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain company owned equipment which can include items such as a radio and cellphone.
  • Must wear uniform, responsible for neat and clean appearance of uniform.
  • Ability to work independently and out of line of sight from other team members for all or part of shift.
  • This is a dog friendly environment with over 1000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs may not be the best fit.
