Northwest Arkansas Food Bank (NWAFB)

Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to complete the Cleaning Schedule for NWAFB Springdale Warehouse facility, the North Springdale Office Complex (BHCH) and the Feed Rogers facility, in a manner that is timely and complies with all rules, regulations, and guidelines to which the tasks are subject. This position will be responsible for completing other maintenance tasks as assigned, and will work with other staff to complete objectives and maintain cleanliness, operability, and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Conduct and complete activities and tasks from the Cleaning Schedule.
* Responsible for the overall maintenance and operations of buildings and grounds; ensuring that the facilities are clean, functioning property, in good repair, and safe. Includes performing basic grounds work, while maintaining knowledge and awareness of all NWAFB facilities.
* Submits issues to supervisor as they are found.
*Conducts other duties as assigned by management.
* Must be on-call in case of emergency maintenance issues after hours and on weekends.
Skills, Education and Experience:
*Commitment to understanding and supporting the NWAFB mission including but not limited to showing compassion to the hungry.
*High School diploma or equivalent; or active pursuit of such.
*Ability to Operate, in a safe manner, an electric jack.
*Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 80 lbs.
*Ability to drive company vehicle.
*Driver’s License Required.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Excellent interpersonal skills.
*Good personal hygiene.
*Ability to communicate electronically through a company desktop or laptop
computer and your personal cell phone with texts, phone calls, emails and photos.
*Self-motivated, can work independently of others to complete task in a timely manner.
*Is attentive to details, resolves minor issues, reports major issues to supervisor.
*Commercial janitorial experience.
*Ability to make minor facility repairs, including toilet tank fill valves, door knobs, door threshold gaskets.
*Ability to operate equipment including a warehouse floor scrubber, electric power washer,
riding, and push lawn mowers, a weedeater, and an air blower.
*Ability to work on a ladder or electric lift at a higher than floor height to replace light bulbs and HVAC filters.
*Ability to check, clean and repair no-bait pest traps.
Job Specifications:
The physical demands of this position require the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, and include sitting, standing, walking, driving, pushing, pulling, stacking, telephone and computer use. Position also requires the ability to work long hours, after hours and weekends as needed. This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
