The LIFE Program Coordinator will be part of a team of three professional staff implementing the LIFE Program at NWACC. This position reports directly to the Director of Hispanic Outreach and will also work closely with the LIFE Success Coach.

The program coordinator will organize and coordinate the LIFE Summer Program, LIFE Quiz, LIFE Padres, and LIFE Legacy Mentor programs as well as assist with other LIFE Program and Hispanic initiatives.

The coordinator is integral in the creative content building for programming of Summer Program, LIFEQuiz, LIFE Padres, LIFE Mentor, and any other events implementing new and innovative ideas to continue interest and desirability of attendance.

This includes marketing strategies, schedule building, social media planning, and implementation, coordination with external stakeholders, internal departments, theme planning, and content building of events.

The coordinator is essential in overseeing the LIFE Program's social media content, which can include creating and managing content and supervising LIFE mentors or work-study positions focusing on this task.

The coordinator also contributes to professional communication such as grant writing, website updates, and presentation preparation.

The coordinator assists the LIFE Program Director and LIFE Success Coach in all aspects of the LIFE Program.

Essential Duties

  • With the assistance of the LIFE team, organize and coordinate, the LIFE Summer, LIFE Quiz, LIFE Padres, and LIFE Legacy Mentor programs
  • With assistance of the LIFE team, develop and coordinate a LIFE Legacy Alumni program, including mentorships and connections with individuals in different industries helping current LIFE students pursuing those fields
  • With assistance of the LIFE team, development and coordination of the LIFE Advisory Board
  • Gather information on available campus and community services and resources, along with data on student, parent, and family needs
  • Formulate collected data into recommendations to develop new or revise existing programs and present them to the Director of Hispanic Outreach and / or various campus departments and committees
  • Prepare and conduct student workshops and parent nights for Spanish-speaking parents covering topics such as preparing for college, applying for college, financing college, succeeding in college, leadership development, and communication skills
  • Compile information for various status and statistical reports concerning programs when required by federal and state agencies, grantors, and institution administration
  • Perform administrative duties such as developing program policies and procedures, compiling information for budget preparation, and appointing, or recommending appointment, of students, staff, and faculty to various campus boards and / or committees
  • Collaborate with the LIFE team on LIFE-related event planning, including community events held on weekends and evenings
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary $40,000 annually

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Position will be fluid between Bentonville and Springdale locations therefore some travel may be required. Additional short-distance travel may also be required through community and networking opportunities, including some evenings and weekends.
