NorthWest Arkansas Community College is Hiring a Remote Assist Director of Testing Services

The Assistant Director of Testing Services is responsible for managing all aspects of community testing (testing programs, proctor services, and certification testing) including scheduling, administrating, and maintaining testing software. This position assists other staff members with the administration of the NWACC placement test and NWACC classroom tests. The Assistant Director is responsible for researching and preparing special reports, examining and verifying documents and performing general office duties. Essential Duties Administer exams to NWACC and non-NWACC students. Be certified and able to administer Accuplacer, CLEP, DSST, and BioCon exams to NWACC and non-NWACC students/candidates. Be certified and able to administer PearsonVUE, Kryterion, ASE, and Meazure Learning (Scantron) exams to NWACC and non-NWACC students/candidates. Assist the Director with all upgrades/changes to NWACC placement exams as well as placement chart and score changes. Create and maintain the MarketPlace website for all testing fees. Maintain databases, spreadsheets and paperwork associated with testing company-based exams. Develop testing schedules that fit the needs of outside agencies. Maintain records and logs of non-NWACC tests incoming and outgoing. Work with and maintain software associated with all offered testing packages. Maintain records of Testing Center staff certifications for all testing companies in the NWACC network. Assist the director with the training of all employees and the maintenance of training materials. Assist the director with evening and weekend coverage of the center when needed. Attend meetings in place of or with the Director as needed. Assist the Director with purchase orders. Cover the duties of the Director when the Director is out of the office. Assist with the administration of NWACC Distance Learning/classroom make-up/DRC exams as needed. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Perform other duties as assigned Salary Range $42,000-$44,000 annually Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Should be able to work effectively with employees and all levels of leadership within the institution. Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) and HRIS systems. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who takes accountability for performance while requiring minimal supervision. Must be able to handle highly confidential material efficiently and effectively. Must possess strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Ability to build relationships with individuals and teams across the institution and campus. Ability to analyze information and recommend appropriate action. Knowledge of planning, research, and analysis techniques and procedures. Knowledge of department, operations, policies, and procedures. Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews. Ability to research, prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports. Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops. Knowledge of state and federal personnel laws, policies, and procedures. Must be able to report clear, concise and accurate ad-hoc reports to all levels of leadership. Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree is required. Broad knowledge of such fields as IT, networking, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. will be an asset to this position. Employee must meet the requirements set forth by the testing companies to obtain the certifications needed to administer all exams proctored in the center. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education.
