Northtown Automotive Companies is currently looking for a General Accounting Intern for the remaining Spring semester, through the Summer vacation.Job Description:

• Review daily deposits for multiple locations as to accuracy and all bankable items. Investigate any discrepancies on cash/check items received. Balance and prepare cash deposit slips for pickup. Retain checks to be processed via internet to bank account. Balance and post to bank account for all items received.
• Maintain and balance open retail service and parts ticket sales daily. Update in corporate excel file for manager’s review. Maintain file for all open cash tickets and payment resolution. Handle any refunds as needed.
• Receipt all other receivable and miscellaneous checks for wholesale and warranty business.
• Maintain customer list of cash and charge customers. Manage resale certificates. Run credit applications for new customers.
• Keep a log of all missing repair orders and check weekly. Reprint if need be.
• Answer phones for requested information and payment.
• Reach out to past due customer as to status of payment.
• Maintain accurate credit line based on volume and payment history.
• Apply for service net (fleet money) weekly.
• Clean associated schedules.
• Handle any credit inquires and disputes.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in an Accounting degree with an accredited University or College.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid & active driver's license.
