Job Summary

The Technology Support Specialist provides exceptional customer service while resolving various issues arising from the day-to-day use of NorthStar’s IT platform. The Technology Support Specialist provides higher-level support to meet project-based objectives and system administration requirements.

What you will do in this role

• Supports the resolution of Level 1 and Level 2 HelpDesk tickets through NorthStar’s ticket-tracking program along with telephonic, in-person and web-based support.
• Provides desktop support for employees including but not limited to hardware and software setup and troubleshooting.
• Maintains information technology hardware inventory and facilitates such hardware acquisition, which includes the shipping/distribution and retiring of such hardware as needed.
• Administers various NorthStar systems to ensure efficient operation across the enterprise. Systems include but are not limited to Microsoft Office 365, Workday, Concur and ePreop.
• Facilitates the onboarding of new hires across the enterprise, which includes account creation, employee access, system training and systems overview.
• Facilitates the offboarding of terminated employees to include system termination, access removal and other related activities.
• Provides direct support for the effective administration of active directory, shared drives, VPN, office equipment and corporate office issue resolution.
• Continually audits user access to ensure proper account setup and termination as applicable.

What qualifications you will need

• Industry certifications preferred, such as MS Office Suite (multiple versions), Microsoft Server (multiple versions), Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Exchange, TIL, Network , A , Security
• 2 years’ experience in technical support with strong technical troubleshooting and problem diagnosis skills
• Proficiency in Remote Desktop Technologies. 
• Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies. 
• Practical expertise with IT governance. 
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work autonomously.
• Ability to craft and deliver presentations to senior business executives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to measure and improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across all lines of business and technology platforms.
• Ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade other. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
