Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant to provide necessary support for office operation. This is an exciting opportunity to work at an outpatient clinic setting, improve your own clinical skills while helping patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate.
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Administer medications as directed by physicians or nurses
- Collect patient medical history and update electronic health records
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions on medication administration or post-treatment care
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage patient flow
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Phlebotomy skills needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems ( Epic)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask
